Johan Oosthuyse qualified as a veterinarian at the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort, South Africa, in 1991. He subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in business leadership at the University of South Africa.
Johan practised in private veterinary practice in the United Kingdom and South Africa, whereafter he joined Healthtech Laboratories as the Chief Executive Officer in 1998. He was instrumental in establishing V-Tech and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of V-Tech.

Dr.med.vet.; MMedVet (Theriogenology); Dipl ACT & ECAR
David qualified as a veterinarian at the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 1988. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in Theriogenology at the University of Pretoria in 2004. David also holds a Diplomat from American College of Theriogenologists as well as the European College of Animal Reproduction.
He practiced at a production animal and rural private practice in Switzerland. Following this, David joined the Department of Theriogenology (Animal Reproduction) at the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort, South Africa and became an Associate Professor in 2004.
He established V-Tech with Johan in 2003 and in 2006 left Onderstepoort to join V-Tech full time as Chief Technical Officer. David is currently an Executive Director at V-Tech.
Chief Operating Officer | EXCO Member
Muhammad qualified in 2010 with a BCom Accounting degree. Prior to joining V-Tech, he worked as a Senior Accountant for a leading audit firm.
He then joined V-Tech as an Accountant and was promoted to Financial manager in 2012 and to Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Muhammad became the Chief Operating Officer of V-Tech in 2020.
Chief Human Resources Officer | EXCO Member
Nettie Vogel graduated with a BCom degree from the University of North West in 2002 and subsequently obtained a Certificate in Advanced Labour Law from the University of Pretoria in 2007.
She launched her career in the healthcare sector and furthered her experience in the motor and aviation industries. Nettie joined V-Tech in 2012 and currently holds the position of Chief Human Resources Officer.
Chief Technical and Marketing Officer | EXCO Member
Jarno obtained a BSc in Veterinary Biology from the University of Pretoria in 2010 and qualified as a veterinarian in 2014 from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Onderstepoort. He began his career as a veterinarian in small animal veterinary practice. In February 2017 he joined a leading poultry company in South Africa as an assistant veterinarian and was promoted to group veterinary manager in 2022.
He joined V-Tech as Chief Technical and Marketing Officer in June 2024.
